The coffee region well- known as eje cafetero is located at the center of the colombian andes it incluides the department of Quindio , Caldas and Risaralda , and their respectives capitals , Armenia , Manizales and Pereira . it is to an average altitud to 1.700 m.s.n.m , hense , the climate is from 22°C to 28|C . Here it be seen from paramo until valley .



This region is considered the best in of coffee theme , so there is cultivated the most soft coffee in the wordl and in colombia is the greatest producer of coffee. 
it is one the most beautiful places of colombia , because its geography and locations is perfect for the biodiversity as much from flora as from fauna , and does so in a very pleasant weather ; this population is "Berraca ", people are hard working , friendly and charming , also it is considered the first rural destination in Latin america , due to the adjustment of their farms and traditional haouses into tourist accomodation , where you can enjoy a unique and wonderful experience . 

in June/2010 , the region was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
